As a guitarist, band leader and producer, JJ Whitefield (also known as Karl Hector) from Germany has been deeply involved in the world of rhythm for more than 30 years, leading the evolution of many musical branches. Through a series of bands he founded and led, such as Poets of Rhythm, Whitefield Brothers and Karl Hector & The Malcouns, which are now regarded as legendary bands, JJ has accumulated a large amount of music materials with obvious innovation and integration tendencies on well-known labels such as Ninja Tune, Mo'Wax, Stones Throw and Now-Again, and conveys a natural and authentic personal musical aesthetic in diverse expressions.
