In this issue of VG+, we have invited Long Long, a famous record collector who currently lives in Shanghai. He has had a close relationship with records for more than ten years and is an important player in the development of domestic vinyl culture in recent years. In 2022, Longlong and his partners established a new music space in Shanghai: jōdo.
jōdo is a recording space, a performance space, and an impromptu stage.
The concept of jōdo was formed in Shanghai in early March, and it landed as a physical store in September. Tired of the homogeneous sound of the fragmented music era, we are eager to build a richer and more professional space, where we will use physical records and performances to spread more interesting sounds.
