Planet E, founded by Carl Craig, has been the world's most benchmarking techno-based comprehensive label since the early 1990s. Although starting with techno, it has incorporated a large number of different types from jazz to hip-hop, and gradually turned into House /Deep House route. Huge circulation, and the excavation of many top-notch musicians made Planet E far surpass similar famous labels such as Transmat and Music Man at that time, and became the most sought-after record label that year.
