In this episode of RIFF on BAIHUI, we invite DAN-NEO, a resident member of CIPHER — a Hong Kong-based event collective founded nearly a decade ago, dedicated to connecting some of the finest underground techno voices worldwide.
Dan believes in the power of storytelling. His DJ sets are filled with suspense, contrast, and dynamic shifts between light and dark, weaving together elements of minimal, industrial, tribal, sci-fi, and psychedelic sound. For him, a DJ set is an endless journey — transporting listeners’ senses from one realm into another imagined dimension.
To express his fluid style and diverse sonic landscape, his selections are not bound by genre or era. He has performed across various venues, clubs, and festivals in Hong Kong, including Acadana, Club Oma, Social Room, Ping Pong, Pitch, Clockenflap, and Shi Fu Miz. Dan-neo has also been invited to perform internationally at venues such as Oil Club in Shenzhen, Pistil in Seoul, Noor|Electro in Moscow, and Ved Siden Af in Copenhagen.
In this mix, he brings a one-hour selection of his signature sounds — deeply cinematic, spatial, and dancefloor-driven.
