Yongsi is a singer, songwriter, and music producer. She was born in Guiyang, Guizhou, China. As a child, she was exposed to classical and early Chinese rock music under the influence of her mother and began composing at the age of 12. She studied abroad several times in her youth and moved to Japan on her own at 17. Growing up in a complex environment where Eastern and Western languages and cultures collided, she is enabled to translate the myths she feels about the poles and in-betweens of humanity and the world into music.
