Ismail Lazam (ISMA) is a Parisian producer and DJ.
In 2019, he released “HEALTH” on Cascade Records, a collaborative project
acclaimed by critics in France (ID-Vice, Radio Nova, Libération, Mixmag, among
others), in which he explores his Iraqi roots and fuses influences from trip-hop,
electronic music, and hip-hop.
ISMA also made a name for himself as a producer for TRIPLEGO, with whom he has
maintained a prolific collaboration from 2019 to date, creating tracks such as Feen
Kenou, Bou7di, Medellin, Panama, Baisers Volés, Moscou, Tu Parles, Chebba,
Maghrebiya, Pure, Life, Humilité, Stone, Eau Revoir, and 911.
In 2024, he signed the complete soundtrack for the highly acclaimed Pavillon
Français at the Venice Biennale for visual artist JULIEN CREUZET.
Also in 2024 and 2025, ISMA produced sound pieces for JULIEN CREUZET new
exhibition, visual artist OMAR CASTILLO exhibition in centre Georges Pompidou
and choreographer CECILIA BENGOLEA.
The year 2025 marks an important turning point in ISMA's musical evolution with the
release of 3 Club EP on labels such as Hypersonics & Caballito Netlabel.
These three releases have been supported and played by major producers and DJs
on the scene, such as CRRDR, Toccororo, Ruisenor, Rara Ma Rabbia, MTNK,
Meritxell de Soto, Tayhana, Kontronatura, Wavezim, Bigote, Dj Rankng, Lukro,
Entranas, Escobutt, Couvre X Chefs, Disturbio, Vendredear, Babybruise, Dj Hess,
Melba, Rios, Nuevo Prohibido, Watara, Cucarazha, Paula War, Rasenk, Milot1c,
Eisebelle, Franssouax, Leo Von Zbeul, DNZA & Malo2k.
Blending techno, ghettotech, bass music, reggaeton, trance, and dark club sounds
with his own oriental influences, ISMA bridges futuristic club culture. Drawing from
his origins, he injects a deeply personal dimension that asserts a powerful and
distinctive aesthetic.
