When I conceived this set, I was thinking about creating something out of nothing — balancing order and chaos, confusion and restraint. It didn’t quite reach what I had envisioned once recorded, but maybe because the structure doesn’t follow a familiar pattern, at least it keeps me from getting bored while listening.
