As a keyboard player in student bands, Velvet Robot was addicted to Post-punk and Shoegaze and later deeply inspired by the diverse electronic music on Intergalactic FM. She loves rich layered instruments, affective vocal, vocoder, solid rhythm, lo-fi effector, & heavy bass line, and often mixes retro & future in romantic rebellious way. She also performed with Legowelt, Josh Cheon, Bézier, CQ, Curses, The KVB, Onra, Jimanica, Mogwaa, Years of Denial, Jeffery Sfire, Horse Meat Disco, etc., when they came to China. 2025 is the 11th year of Synth Crush parties that organized by Illsee and her.
