"100lux is a set of illuminance units, seeking a balance on the boundaries between image and sound - Tropical wave, Chroma noise's bubbly reflection, Occult ritual field. She tried to deliver the thin, airy sound of an insect shedding its chrysalis, or to touch a abundant wave of creatures.
Recently, she went on a relieving roam in southern Guizhou, and this show will follow her diving into a cave in the back of the forest. A sense of walking was created through the sound, down to the depths of the rock: the white bones are scattered, the underground river is wrapped with transparent creatures and fine particles, and human beings hold hands to form a huge circle - Sacrifice, Life, Afterlife. The three samples from Kaori Oda’s Cenote cut the time and space through cave in a sticky approach, and the rest of the field recordings comes from the humid mountains of Guizhou."
