DJ Li Jialin (DJ KITTY) is, at her core, an English teacher — who also happens to be deeply immersed in underground music. Raised in Canada and now active in China, her musical sensibility is profoundly shaped by internet culture. From international underground artists like Bladee to Chinese avant-garde figures such as jackZebra, these sounds have gradually formed her distinctive mode of musical expression.
Her DJ sets are rooted in cloud rap, hyperpop, and underground rap, expanding into internet-born club electronics and emotionally charged electronic sounds. Playful and tinged with irony, her style naturally incorporates an educator’s perspective. For DJ KITTY, music is a language — and the dance floor is a classroom without rules.
